What did home sales look like in Chattanooga for the year 2018? The two Chattanooga home sales reports below give a “sneak peak” at what the Chattanooga real estate market looked like last year and also how it compared to 2016 and 2017. In a nutshell, our average sales price has increased steadily in 2016-2018. Our Days on Market (the time it takes for a home to sell) was also down last year, approximately 15.3% to 50 days.
What does this mean for buyers and sellers in 2019? No one can be exactly sure what 2019 will bring. Mortgage rates are still quite low which is good news for buyers and telling buyers that there are still good opportunities out there. Our inventory is picking up, but is still low suggesting that Spring may be a good time to consider selling.
